PG CAFÉ, VENUE & GALLERY
PG (Pupienus’s Glove) Café and Gallery (+ all ages music venue)
1418 W. Franklin Street, Evansville IN
Todd Huber was Creator/Owner/Operator/Manager of PG, a home for avant-garde and locally-sourced art, music, food, performances, and community between 2013 - 2019. In addition to managing booking and promoting artists and events, Todd created hundreds of flyers and art for shows while working on collaborative audio projects with local artists. Along with hosting Experimental Open Mic Nights for the duration of PG’s doors being open, Todd conducted a floating collective of local artists who played experimental, noise, and electronic improvised music together as Vagina of the Gods.
Receiving multiple awards for this work, PG hosted artists from all over the world, of every genre and their combinations, including everything from Australia’s theatrical experimental glitch Anklepants (who made the animatronics for the film Where The Wild Things Are) to world famous media pranksters Negativland.
“We Are Everywhere Now,” the documentary film produced by Murphy Sutton, is a raw firsthand look at the local all ages multi-genre music venue and cafe, PG, from the perspective of active members in the greater Evansville Underground/DIY music community.
